Colleen Keenan, P.T., DPT Physical Therapist

Colleen is native to the South Bay beach cities of Los Angeles. She grew up playing competitive soccer and running throughout high school and college. She discovered her passion for physical therapy and helping others while rehabilitating an ACL surgery in high school. Colleen graduated from San Diego State University in 2009 with her BS in Kinesiology Pre-Physical Therapy. She then completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA. She then went on to specialize, and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2016 through a rigorous testing process. Most recently she began pilates teacher training in 2018 through BASI pilates and is currently working towards her 500 hour certification. She discovered her love for pilates when she needed an alternative approach to exercise besides high impact soccer and running. She liked the concept of pilates because of its low impact and therapeutic qualities, addressing many strength and flexibility deficits contributing to her pain. She now enjoys utilizing the benefits of pilates practice with her physical therapy patients. She’s also uses manual therapy techniques and patient education to empower patients to move through their daily lives and physical activities without pain.
